By moving away from the fee-for-service model, which often prioritizes quantity over quality, we can focus on delivering personalized care to each patient. With fewer patients to manage, our providers have the flexibility to spend more time with each individual, fostering stronger relationships and allowing for a more thorough and personalized approach to healthcare.

One of the key advantages of our membership plan is the ability for patients to access care when they need it most. Whether it's for routine check-ups or urgent medical needs, patients can schedule appointments with their physician on the same or next day, ensuring timely access to quality care. $170/month for patients age 18–44

Will you take my insurance?

Membership medicine is an alternative payment model to insurance, so our office does not file insurance claims for you. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), you may be able to submit invoices for HSA reimbursement.

Do I still need health insurance?

While we do not require insurance to join our practice, we strongly recommend carrying a health insurance policy to help cover costs for outside medical services.

Will you accept Medicare?

We are considered non-participating providers of Medicare. However, we can refer you to specialists, hospitals, and imaging facilities. If a patient has a managed care plan or Medicare, those visits, hospital stays, and imaging are typically covered by insurance.

Yes, if you have been a patient in the Greater Indianapolis area, we can access your medical records through Athena, our online electronic medical records system. You can access your records via the patient portal, which provides a secure, online environment through Athena.

What happens if I need to see a specialist?

We can coordinate your visit with a specialist in your insurance network, and they will bill your insurance.

What about Vaccines?

You have options:

1. We can administer them during your visit to our office.

2. We can direct you to a pharmacy where they will administer the vaccine.

What about lab tests?

You have options:1. During your visit, we will draw your blood and send the samples to the lab for testing. The laboratory will bill your insurance directly. If you do not have insurance, we offer discounted rates—typically under $99 for a full health panel.2. We can direct you to an external laboratory where they will draw blood, process it, and bill the charges to your insurance.

What about virtual visits done by Athena, FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet and etc.?

Your time is valuable, and you may choose to receive your care virtually via telephone or text. We consider Virtual Care a vital part of your membership, and we will be swift to respond to your needs. In certain circumstances, an in-person visit may be more appropriate.

What if I want to cancel my subscription?

Patients can cancel their membership at any time, after their initial six-month term, by providing the office with a 30-day written cancellation notice.  Any fees for that month will be pro-rated to the respective date.

If I cancel, can I rejoin the practice?

Yes, a patient may rejoin the practice; however, they may be subject to a re-enrollment fee.

Do you see patients of all ages?

We provide care for adults age 18 and older. At this time, we do not offer pediatric services.

Do you make home visits?

We do. Home visits are part of the Executive Plan. The Concierge Primary Care Plan includes unlimited in-office and telehealth visits but home visits are not included.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for my membership at Woodside Internal Medicine?

Yes. As of January 1, 2026, federal law (the OBBBA) and IRS guidance (Notice 2026-05) officially classify membership fees for Direct Primary Care and concierge practices as "qualified medical expenses." This means you can use your tax-free HSA or FSA funds to pay your monthly fees at our practice.

Are there limits on how much I can pay with my HSA?

The IRS has set a "Safe Harbor" limit for tax-free membership payments. For 2026, you can use your HSA to pay up to:
$150 per month for an individual membership.
$300 per month for a family membership. (These amounts are indexed and may increase annually for inflation.)

"My membership fee is $170—can I still use my HSA?"

Yes. You can use your HSA to cover the portion of your fee up to the federal limit ($150 for individuals). Many of our patients choose to split their payment method or simply use their HSA for the maximum allowed amount to capture the significant tax savings.

What if my insurance plan is a "Bronze" or "Catastrophic" plan?

This is one of the biggest wins for 2026. All Bronze and Catastrophic plans (whether purchased on the Exchange or through a private broker) are now automatically considered HSA-compatible. This makes it easier for self-employed professionals in Carmel, Westfield, Fishers, Zionsville and Indianapolis to pair affordable insurance with the high-level care of a concierge doctor.

Can my membership fees count toward my insurance deductible?

This depends on your specific insurance carrier. Some modern plans allow you to submit your membership receipts to be credited toward your annual deductible. We recommend checking with your insurance broker or HR department to see if your 2026 plan supports "Deductible Crediting" for primary care memberships.

How do I pay my fees using my HSA?

HSA Debit Card: Most of our patients simply use their provided HSA/FSA debit card to set up their monthly membership autopay.
Reimbursement: Alternatively, you can pay with a personal card and reimburse yourself from your HSA account using our monthly receipts.

Yes. If you are applying for a citizenship disability exception, our provider is available to evaluate your needs and complete Form N-648 if you qualify.

Can I get my pre-admission testing done at your office even if I’m not a concierge member?

Yes! We offer complete pre-operative clearances for all patients undergoing an upcoming surgery, regardless of membership status. You get a comfortable, convenient experience without the long waits or crowded hospital labs.

Can I use my health insurance for pre-admission testing, and what is included?

Accepted Answer

We do not bill health insurance for this service. Instead, we offer a simple, transparent flat fee. This single fee comprehensively covers your physical exam, basic pre-admission labs, an EKG, and a Spirometry if required by your surgeon. Simply provide us with your pre-op orders 1 to 4 weeks before your procedure, and we will take care of the rest.
